INVEST & INVITE

This page is designed just for those who call Houston Church home. It’s a private space filled with tools and resources to help you invite your friends, neighbors, family, and coworkers.

Right now, it’s focused on our Grand Opening on November 2, but over time it will grow into an ongoing resource you can use anytime. Whether you need the right words, a shareable post, or a simple way to reach out, we want this to make inviting easy and natural.

At Houston Church, our vision is simple: Hope For Everyone. We believe every invite is more than a gesture — it’s an investment in someone’s life and an opportunity to share the hope that can change everything.

HOPE FOR EVERYONE

We can’t wait for you to invite your friends, family, neighbors—anyone you meet—to Houston Church! This is more than just a place to be; it’s an investment in someone’s life. An invite here has the power to change everything for them.

For us, Hope For Everyone isn’t just a vision statement—it’s our rally cry. It’s what makes us different. We genuinely want everyone to have a place where they belong before they ever have to believe. This is that place! This is Houston Church!

COUNTDOWN + INVITE CHALLENGE

Having a goal in mind, and knowing the timeframe is super important. We've put together a simple plan to help you organize that plan and be able to invite someone with confidence! Remember, every name matters. Every invite plants hope, even if they don't show up on day 1!

Starting in October, be thinking of a friend, family member or coworker. then, go through these next steps!

Inviting is simple, and it starts with just a few intentional steps.
  1. Write down three names. Think of a friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker who could use hope and encouragement.
  2. Pray for them. Ask God to open the door for an invite and prepare their hearts.
  3. Invite with purpose. Use a text, a card, or a social post — whatever feels natural.
  4. Follow the countdown.

2 Weeks Out: Invite at least one person on your list.
1 Week Out: Confirm who’s coming with you.
2 Days Out: Send a quick reminder text — “I’ll save you a seat!”
Grand Opening Sunday: Meet them at the door and sit with them.

STORIES OF HOPE

At Houston Church, every story matters. These aren’t just moments — they’re lives being changed by hope, belonging, and the love of Jesus. As you invite, remember that your simple “yes” can lead to someone else’s story of transformation. You can use these videos as inspiration, or even use them to send as invites.

SEAN & JESSICA'S STORY

DAVID & LAURA'S STORY

LYNDA & JIM'S STORY

Sometimes an invite can be as easy as having someone that has a similar story to yours. Use these stories, and others, as an opportunity to invites someone to Houston Church or to come sit with you.

SPREAD HOPE CHALLENGE

Hope doesn’t just stay inside our walls — it goes with us into everyday life. Here are simple, easy ways you can spread hope this week:
Buy someone’s coffee and tell them “hope for everyone.”

We will have specific challenges on specific days / weeks as we lead up to our launch. Here are some easy things to get started with that and start getting into a mindset of spreading hope to everyone!

EASY CHALLENGES TO SPREAD HOPE
  • Write a quick note of encouragement to a coworker or neighbor.
  • Bake cookies / brownies and drop them off with someone that could need a lifted spirit.
  • Drop off a treat or gift card for a teacher, nurse, or first responder.
  • Share a social post from Houston Church with a friend who might need encouragement.
  • Invite someone to sit with you on Nov 2 — and follow up with a reminder.

Small actions make a big difference. Let’s be a church known for bringing hope everywhere we go.

READY TO INVITE?!

This is our moment. Grand Opening Sunday is almost here, and we believe every invite matters. You don’t have to do everything — just take one step, reach out to one person, and trust that God will do the rest.

Use the tools, share the texts, and think of the people who need hope, belonging, and a fresh start. Let’s make Nov 2 a day to remember.
