Everybody's been given something. A story, a relationship, an opportunity, a measure of influence — something entrusted to you that was never fully yours to begin with. The question was never whether you received it. The question is what you've done with it.
What you protect reveals what you believe about the one who gave it to you. What you release reveals what you believe it was for.
In this message, Ryan Smart walks through Matthew 25:14-30 — the Parable of the Talents — and closes out the UnScripted series by asking what's underneath the question: is fear of losing something keeping you from ever using it? Two servants put what they were given to work. One buried his — not because he was careless, but because he didn't trust the heart of the one who gave it.
